Aquileia*

Aquileia was originally established as a outpost against barbarian invaders. It evolved into a significant political and cultural center due to its efficient river port, becoming a thriving trading city. Players aim to become the most powerful figure in the city by trading and building, utilizing their followers for various activities that yield expenditures, income, and victory points.

The game progresses through a placement phase followed by action resolutions, including markets for trading items, arenas and stadiums for competitions, theater bids for cards, villa and bank construction, and activating buildings for rewards. After six rounds, players tally their victory points from hidden cards and their villas' values, with the player accruing the most points declared the winner.
