Gameplay modes include the original Battleship, where players take a single shot each turn, and the Salvo mode, allowing five shots per round with losses corresponding to sunk ships. There's also a "Special Ops" mode introducing action cards for unique gameplay elements, and an "Advanced Special Ops" mode with more card interactions.
