Cacao: Chocolatl includes four modules for the base game, which can be used individually or in any combination.
The chocolate module features chocolate maker tiles and markets, allowing players to produce and sell chocolate for high prices at specific markets. The hut module provides double-sided huts that grant special abilities or bonus points. The irrigation module introduces special plantations for abundant cocoa harvests at a water cost. Lastly, the card module offers a preview board for additional tiles, allowing players to choose from both their hand and the preview when filling spaces on the board.
