The game board depicts the Caribbean in the 18th century, where six pirate ships lie in wait to loot wealthy ports. Each player owns three safe harbors marked in their color, while piracy can occur at any empty spaces when fewer than four players participate.

Players aim to persuade pirates to deliver treasure chests to their own safe harbors while avoiding their opponents. By offering the most rum to a ship, players can influence its movements and execute various actions, ultimately seeking to accumulate the most doubloons by the end of the game.
