Colorino*

Colorino from Ravensburger is a learning game for children aged 2 and up. Using chunky colour pegs, your child completes pictures and learns the primary and secondary colours. It works solo or together with a parent.

What is it about?

A picture sheet goes under a transparent pegboard. Your child then places matching colour pegs in the right spots. Along the way they practise matching colours, fine motor skills, creativity and memory.

How it plays

  1. Pick a picture sheet, colour side or black and white.
  2. Slide it under the pegboard.
  3. Copy the coloured pictures with the matching pegs.
  4. Fill in the black and white side freely, or try to recreate the colour side from memory.

What's in the box

  • 1 transparent pegboard
  • 6 picture sheets (colour on the front, black and white on the back)
  • 40 colour pegs in red, blue, yellow, green, purple and orange

Conclusion

Colorino has no winner. It is a calm activity and learning toy. It is ideal for toddlers who love to sort and peg things. Most kids grow out of it by around four. The pegs are small, so an adult should stay close by.
