Deep Regrets*
Deep Regrets is a fishing game with a horror streak: you haul ever more disturbing creatures out of the deep, sell, eat or mount them – and collect regrets along the way that make you stronger and madder at the same time. For 1 to 4 players aged 14 and up, 30 to 150 minutes.
How it plays
At the start of each turn you roll your tackle dice and decide whether to stay at sea or return to port to sell fish, buy provisions and recover. The fish shoals sit face down at three depths with only their shadow size showing – so you judge what you can afford to catch. The eerier the catch, the more Regret cards you gather: they raise your madness but grant extra dice and boost the value of weirder fish. Whoever carries the most regrets at the end must give up their most valuable mounted fish.
Who is it for?
Fans of push-your-luck games with a Lovecraftian flavour looking for an atmospheric table experience with superb illustrations. The solo mode also works cooperatively.
