Pay Day*
Pay Day is essentially the board game version of managing a budget over the course of a month. Players navigate through 31 days, tackling bills, expenses, and opportunities to wheel and deal in property. The aim is to balance your books effectively, making as much money as you can or, at the very least, accruing the least amount of debt. Everyone gets paid at the end of the month, but that's also when all bills come due. If you can't cover your costs, you'll need to take out a loan. The game ends after a predetermined number of months, usually three, making for a 30-minute game. The player with the most cash or smallest debt load at the end wins.
