Gallipoli, 1915: Churchill's Greatest Gamble*

The game depicts the first three days of the Gallipoli campaign, featuring intense maneuvers, critical assaults, and the onset of trench warfare. Players command a hastily assembled force of British, Australian, New Zealand, and French troops aiming to seize the Turkish defenses on the Gallipoli Peninsula to open a supply line to Russia.

On April 25, 1915, the Anzac troops landed at dawn in an area later known as Anzac Cove, only to find rugged cliffs instead of a manageable beach. Despite confusion and setbacks, including a fierce counterattack from Turkish Officer Mustafa Kemal, players must strategize and manage troop fatigue to succeed in the historically complex battles.
