Gettysburg*

One of the earliest typical war games features movement and strength counters, a sequence of play card, and a Combat Results Table. The game was redesigned into hexagons in 1961, but after mixed success, it was re-released in 1964 using squares, with significant changes to the rules. It includes unique mechanics such as hidden movements and optional rules for artillery and unit alignment, impacting strategy and gameplay.
