Gorus Maximus*

Gorus Maximus is a bloody trick-taking game of gladiatorial combat where the trump suit can change in the middle of a trick. Players send their strongest gladiators and wildest beasts into battle to win the crowd's favor, matching the rank of the last played gladiator to instantly switch the trump suit.

Each player has a hand of ten gladiator cards, contributing one for each fight. Players strive to collect gladiators with positive audience favor while avoiding those with negative favor. The player with the highest favor at the end of the round earns crowd support, and the first to gain the support of three spectators claims the title of Master of Gorus Maximus.
