Merchants in Istanbul have devised a new and lucrative way to earn extra money by delivering messages to the bazaar shopkeepers. In the process, they gather useful information to sell to the secret society for rubies. To maintain regular business operations, they have hired a companion who, while a bit slower than preferred, does not require assistants.
