Maelstrom*
Originally released in summer 2001 as a collectible game, it features a unique hexagonal board system that inspired other games in the genre. This standalone game allows 2-4 players to engage in fantasy battles filled with magic and resource management using hexagonal tiles that expand as allies and land are added. While it contains a vast array of components, additional purchases are not necessary to enjoy a complete gaming experience.
