Northgard: Uncharted Lands brings the Viking strategy video game to the table: each clan explores a new continent, builds its card deck and fights for the most prized territories. For 2 to 5 players aged 13 and up, 45 to 90 minutes – considerably leaner than most conquest games.
How it plays
The map emerges tile by tile as you explore. Your actions – explore, fight, build, develop territories – are played from your hand, and at the end of each round you add a new card to your deck as your clan learns new tactics. Winter forces you to feed your units. After seven rounds the player with the most fame wins – or earlier, whoever controls three fortified territories with specific buildings.
Who is it for?
Fans of the video game and anyone who enjoys Small World or Kemet but wants a conquest game with short rules and a brisk pace.
