South Mountain*

On September 14, 1862, D.H. Hill's Confederate division was surprised and attacked by Ambrose Burnside's wing of the Army of the Potomac. Hill's men held off the advancing Union troops for twelve hours, giving General Lee the time needed to concentrate his forces.

The game features a full, intense battle on a manageable map, designed for an evening of play. High replayability comes from the variable arrival of key Confederate units and the inclusion of random events for both sides.
