Space Mission^*

Space Mission is a family game from Schmidt Spiele in which 2 to 5 players explore alien planets and grab the best resources first.

What's it about?

Each game places eight of twelve planets in space. Using cards, you fly from planet to planet or jump through a gate to anywhere. Every planet asks for different values to jump, scan, and land. Plan well, and you claim the valuable planet tiles.

How a turn works

On your turn you take two of six actions:

1. Top up: discard cards and refill your hand to five.
2. Jump or fly to move your spaceship.
3. Scan to peek at face-down tiles.
4. Develop and discover to hand out and take tiles.

Points and scoring

Each tile scores in its own way:

• Minerals score by count and largest color set
• Medals are worth three points each
• Space stations and jump-gate markers add bonus points

Conclusion

Space Mission is an approachable exploration game with set collection. Families and newcomers like the clear flow. Veterans may find it light. It shines with three players.
