The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth*
Players fight alongside Aragorn, Gandalf, Gimli, Legolas, and other companions against the enemies of Mordor. Three enemy cards are always laid out on the table, representing a battle for Middle-earth. Players collect companion cards to match the symbols on the enemy cards and send their groups into battle to win them.
On their turn, a player can play a companion card to an existing group, form a new group, or draw a card. If a Mordor card is drawn, it triggers a counterattack, causing players to lose cards. The game ends when there are no enemy cards left, and players tally their victory points to determine the winner.
