The Quest for El Dorado: Heroes & Hexes*

The expansion introduces three new double-sided terrain tiles featuring curses. When a player lands on a demon tile, they must draw and reveal a curse game piece to see its effects, which could force them to discard cards or cause disruptions while moving. Players can also encounter tunnels on some demon tiles that allow them to move directly between fields at no card cost, posing the question of whether the risk is worth the reward.

To use this expansion, players must employ the "Caves" variant from the base game. It includes new cave tiles and four new types of expedition cards, allowing for additional strategic options. Players begin with a familiar that offers unique powers and can visit tavern rooms to recruit heroes, enhancing their decks in specific ways.
