Tianxia drops you into China’s Warring States period around 260 BCE. As the head of a noble family you gather prestige and the favour of the rulers governing the seven kingdoms, while nomadic warriors threaten the northern borders. A demanding strategy game from Board&Dice.

Over four rounds you install governors in the regions and bolster rival ruling houses to win their favour. You sell goods to merchant ships off the coast, train soldiers and build walls and towers to weaken the advancing nomads. Each round the nomads gather at the borders; when they reach them, a battle takes place that affects every player. At the end, the player who proved the best governor, politician, merchant and protector wins.
