In the Tiny Towns: Fortune expansion, the forest creatures have devised a way to trick each other into believing shiny metal pieces hold value. This "money" allows you to persuade other creatures to give you nearly anything in exchange for the right amount of shiny pieces, though earning that money proves to be quite a challenge.
