Players embark on a ten-day journey through Germany, aiming to complete their trip first to win the game. Each player has a rack with ten pieces representing different sections of Germany and trains, which come in five colors. On their turn, players can draw a piece and either discard it or replace one from their rack while creating a valid path connecting regions and trains.
