Beez^*

Beez is an abstract flight-planning game from Next Move Games in which you play a bee collecting nectar and storing it in your honeycomb hive. For 2 to 4 players aged 8 and up, 30 to 45 minutes – with an unusual movement rule that soon has your brain buzzing.

How it plays

Your bee flies in straight lines across a hex field of flowers. You plan the route on your player board: direction and distance come from the spaces you pick, and every choice rules out others. At the destination you gather nectar, which has to be stored in the hive in specific patterns to fulfil public and private goals. Your rivals block flowers and chase the same goals.

Who is it for?

Fans of abstract strategy games such as Azul or Sagrada who want something new that rewards spatial thinking. The components – chunky bee figures, coloured nectar drops – are high quality, and the rules take ten minutes to explain.
