Brazil: Imperial*

Brazil: Imperial is a building and exploration game spanning three centuries of Brazilian history: as a monarch you construct buildings, open up the land, sign contracts and raise an army against rival states. For 1 to 4 players aged 14 and up, around 100 minutes.

How it plays

On a modular hex map recreating real regions you combine worker placement, area majority and asymmetric monarch powers. Each turn has an action phase and a movement phase. Completing your missions advances you to a new era and unlocks more powerful buildings. The components deliberately evoke video games such as Age of Empires – settlers, soldiers and ships move across the map.

Who is it for?

Experienced gamers who want a civilisation game that fits into one evening. The asymmetric monarchs and variable maps give every game its own character, and the solo mode is complete.
