Players take on the roles of Daimyo, feudal lords in medieval Japan, battling to become the next Shogun appointed by the Emperor. The game's focus is on resource management and conflicts, with victory achieved by accumulating Honor rather than merely conquering territories.

There are two types of Honor: Daimyo Honor is the main victory condition earned by holding provinces or converting Samurai Honor, which is gained through winning battles. The game features a clever turn system with different roles assigned to players, creating an interactive experience filled with negotiations and strategic decisions.
