Byzantium*

Players engage in the rise of the Muslim Caliphate and its war with the Byzantine Empire. Set in the year 632 AD, after the Byzantine Empire has just survived a massive conflict with Persia, both empires are weary from prolonged battles. Meanwhile, under the leadership of various caliphs, the Islamic Arabs are poised to conquer the weakened remnants of both empires.
