Players assume the roles of rulers of powerful European states during the Colonial era, from the Renaissance to the Industrial Revolution. They send their ministers to explore the world, establish missions, secure scientific supremacy, and trade exotic goods, which must be industrially exploited and sold in Europe or the colonies.
