Welcome to Rocca Civetta, a charming town in the Italian hinterland that hosts a peculiar university dedicated to the study of dungeonology. Recently, the faculty lost its professor, and the dean is in search of a capable replacement, and you are the ideal candidate for the position.

Set in the Renaissance world of Nova Aetas, the game involves exploring various civilizations to learn about their history and customs, while being cautious of local reactions. The goal is to gather as much information as possible about the inhabitants of a dungeon, earning points for your discoveries, with the scholar amassing the most points presenting the best thesis on the studied culture.
