Fragments: Fungataï*

Fragments: Fungataï is a narrative adventure where you piece the story together with jigsaw pieces. For one to four players aged 10 and up.

What is it about?

Your brother is in danger. His pendant has turned up deep in an ancient forest, where spirits and shamans have lived in harmony for generations. You set out to find him and run into plenty of secrets lurking in the shadows. Designed by Yohan Servais and published by IELLO, the campaign spans four chapters and about seven hours of play.

What makes it special

  • The components are jigsaw puzzle pieces you place and combine
  • A branching story that guides you chapter by chapter
  • Cooperative play with limited communication
  • Deduction: piece clues together to move forward

How a chapter plays

  1. Read the story text to learn where you are.
  2. Place and connect puzzle pieces to unlock places and clues.
  3. Make choices that shape what happens next.

A chapter takes anywhere from about 40 minutes to over two hours, depending on your group.

Who is it for?

Escape room fans, couples and small groups who enjoy solving things together. According to the publisher it also works well solo.

Conclusion

Fragments is a new line built on a fresh idea: puzzle pieces as the core mechanism, not just decoration. Fungataï is the first entry. If you love stories and riddles, it promises a memorable evening. If you want quick, replayable games, a one-off campaign is a weaker fit.
