Ghost Hunt*

Ghost Hunt is an electronic action game for kids aged 5 and up, played in a darkened room. Ghosts appear on the walls and ceiling, and you shoot them down with a laser gun. A great fit for a slightly spooky kids' party.

What is it about?

A device with a magic eye projects ghosts around the room: in front of you, behind you, above or below. You aim the laser gun and pull the trigger. You know you hit one because the ghost howls.

How it plays

  1. Lights off, switch the device on.
  2. Spot the ghosts and hit them as fast as you can.
  3. Reload after six shots.
  4. After 90 seconds, count your hits.

At a glance

  • action and reflexes, almost no rules
  • each ghost is worth one point
  • a round lasts just 90 seconds

Conclusion

Short, loud and exciting: kids love the mix of darkness and the thrill of the hunt. For primary school children it is a real party hit. Anyone after strategy or a longer game should skip it, and very nervous kids may want a little light on.
