Kilt Castle adds an engaging card mechanism to the classic eurogame genre, focusing on outmaneuvering opponents to control the largest territory. The game features a 5x5 grid board with stacks of cards placed alongside, where players take turns picking cards to build or extend towers in various rows. Constructing on free spaces is cost-free, while building on opponents’ towers incurs a cost based on the number of floors already built. Players can also trigger a scoring round by moving the last card of any stack.
