Kingdom Crossing*
Kingdom Crossing is a strategic gamer's game for one to four players from age 14. As beaver builders you gather resources and raise a new bridge for the kingdom. Built for engine-building fans.
What's it about?
In the kingdom of Brightspring, seven bridges split the four regions. Queen Beavery needs an eighth. You travel the land, recruit animals as helpers, gather building materials, and craft decorations. One rule holds firm: you may cross the same bridge only once per day.
How it plays
Your turns follow a clear pattern:
- Travel the kingdom and plan your routes.
- Recruit artisans and forest animals.
- Collect resources and decorations.
- Fulfil contracts and lock in Victory Points.
Components
The production is generous:
- A board, a tree board, and four player boards
- 113 cards plus many markers and wooden figures
Who's it for?
The game blends engine building with programmed movement. It draws on the "Seven Bridges of Königsberg" puzzle. A solo mode with an Automa and four difficulty levels rounds it out.
Conclusion
Kingdom Crossing offers accessible rules and real depth. If you want light family fare, this is not it. Hobby gamers will find many roads to victory.
