Lotería is a traditional Mexican game that combines cards and Bingo, played for gambling, leisure, and educational purposes. Players draw cards and match the illustrations with Bingo-like grid cards, each displaying 16 of the 54 possible images. The cards are colorful and appealing, featuring Spanish captions that assist language learners, and the game helps teach reading, writing, history, and social values. The most famous version is the "Don Clemente Gallo," introduced in Mexico in 1887 and maintained by three generations.
