Ökolopoly*

Frederic Vester designed Ökolopoly in 1980, initially published as a supplement in the magazine Nature. It became available as a board game at the International Garden Exhibition in Munich in 1983 and was released to the general market by Ravensburger in 1984. Players choose between two scenarios, representing either an industrialized nation or a developing country, and adjust nine dials each round to manage ecological, economic, and social conditions, often leading to catastrophic outcomes.
