Penny Press*

Set in the turbulent years of "yellow journalism" at the end of the 19th century, players take on the roles of newspaper magnates like Pulitzer and Hearst, vying to become the dominant newspaper in old New York City. By publishing newspapers and assigning reporters to popular stories of the day, players can elevate their circulation and earn bonuses for the best coverage in various news categories. The game ends when a player publishes a specified number of newspapers, with the winner being the one who has progressed the furthest on the circulation track.
