The expansion set Goldene Zeiten for Die Fürsten von Catan includes 125 new cards and introduces three thematic sets: "The Era of Explorers," "The Era of Sages," and "The Era of Prosperity."

In "The Era of Explorers," players set sail to discover new lands, facing pirates and wrecks while pursuing missions as the best explorer. "The Era of Sages" allows players to use the wisdom of various sages to influence events and promote peace. Meanwhile, in "The Era of Prosperity," players aim to be good rulers by building schools and hospitals, all while managing the spirits of their people to ensure continued growth.
