Senji*
Players assume the role of a Japanese clan leader in medieval Japan, aiming to become the Daimyo whose honor commands respect from all other clans. To achieve this goal, players must defeat opponents in brutal battles while respecting the honor of other clans, taking hostages, or forming alliances.
Each round consists of three phases: a diplomatic phase for trading military advantages and acquiring hostages; an order phase for issuing commands on occupied territories; and an action phase, where honor plays a crucial role in determining the order of area resolutions. Battles can arise frequently, with players rolling nine clan-symbol decorated dice, and only the attacker can gain prestige based on the number of defeated troops, with greater losses yielding more honor.
