Shackleton Base: A Journey to the Moon^*

Shackleton Base: A Journey to the Moon is a meaty strategy game in which you lead a space agency expanding a permanent base in the Shackleton crater at the Moon’s south pole. Meanwhile three rotating corporations pursue their own agendas, giving the game high replayability.

Play runs over three rounds, each with three phases: in the Shuttle phase you draft a tile that sets your available astronauts, resources and turn order; in the Action phase you deploy astronauts to gather resources, build structures or fund corporate projects; in the Maintenance phase you collect income and pay upkeep. Because only three of the seven corporations enter each game, every session plays differently. For 1 to 4 players aged 14 and up.
