Street Art*

Street Art is a brisk card game by Reiner Knizia for 2 to 6 players aged 8+. As street performers, you compete for the biggest crowd in 15 minutes.

What is it about?

Curtain up on the street! Players play cards showing street acts to draw in spectators. The better your shows, the more people stop to watch. At the end, the player who is the undisputed star of the street wins.

The acts

  • the fire breather, throwing sparks
  • the living statue, frozen in place
  • the breakdancer, spinning on the pavement

When the mood shifts

Not every card only helps you. A sudden rainstorm can drive the crowd away. A spectacular firework display can lure fans away from your rivals' shows. That keeps the lead open until the very end.

A turn in short

  1. Choose a card from your hand.
  2. Boost your own show or disrupt someone else's.
  3. Wait for the right moment to use the big effects.

Who is it for?

The BGG community suggests four or five players as the sweet spot. The rules are quick to learn, which makes it a good family game or a closer after a longer session. It is published in German by ArsEdition.

Conclusion

Street Art is a brisk, approachable card game with a bit of take-that and a fresh theme. If you like short games with a pinch of mischief, it fits well. If you want something to chew on for an hour, Knizia has heavier titles.
