Fractons in Terra Mystica have opened up trade beyond their borders with the Merchants of the Seas expansion. New ships sail on rivers, enhancing trade between factions, while a shipyard allows for improved shipping capabilities and the production of ships. Exporting factions earn victory points and resources based on their deliveries, while importing factions gain power. This expansion adds a tactical movement element to the strategy, along with new scoring tiles, favor points, bonus tiles, and action options that can also be integrated with the base game.
