Trolls and Princesses*

Trolls are not simply large and foolish, as many might believe. Not long ago, they lived among us, using their clever magic to appear as humans. Trolls used to inhabit the mountains in luxurious caves filled with riches and delicious food. They were not evil unless mistreated and could even be helpful to those who treated them well, although they often liked to play tricks on humans.

In Trolls & Princesses, players step into the roles of four different troll clans, competing for the favor of the Mountain King. Players gain favor by performing typical troll activities such as swapping changelings, hiring humans, capturing princesses, and using troll magic. Success depends on resource collection and careful movement of trolls to execute various actions, with the player earning the most victory points at the end claiming leadership of a troll clan.
