The game revolves around a cleansing ritual of the ancient Etruscan people, predating the Roman Empire in the 6th century BC. Players represent different temples devoted to deities and aim to move their priests along a path of purification to the altar; they may also choose darker paths to eliminate rival priests. Victory comes from having the most priests on the central altar or by successfully completing specific rituals, depending on the player's chosen role.
