Vengeance: The Axe forgets, the Tree remembers^*

Players assume the role of a hero who has been beaten and tortured by one or more of the game's four gangs. Victory is achieved by building up the hero, scouting gang hideouts to locate the villains responsible for the wrongs, and taking bloody revenge through action-packed combat sequences that involve dice-based puzzles.

The game alternates between montage rounds, where players heal and enhance their heroes, and combat rounds, where they storm a selected gang hideout to confront a boss. In combat, players earn victory points by defeating bosses or eliminating all minions, while utilizing upgrades to gain more control over their dice outcomes. Bonus victory points are also available through mission cards at the end of the game.
