Versteckt? Entdeckt!*
Versteckt? Entdeckt! is a short memory game for kids aged 4 and up. Two to four children hunt for woodland animals hiding under face-down tiles.
What is it about?
Lots of animals are hiding in an autumn forest. Whoever remembers where each one sits will find the most. Luck plays a part too: guess wrong and the animal scurries off into the next part of the forest. The German title means roughly "Hidden? Found!". The game is published by Piatnik and takes 10 to 20 minutes.
How a turn works
- Name an animal.
- Flip any one tile in the current forest area.
- Right animal? Keep the tile in front of you.
- Wrong animal? It moves face up to the next forest area.
The game ends the moment someone takes the last tile. Most tiles wins.
At a glance
- 2 to 4 kids, ages 4 and up
- 10 to 20 minutes
- Memory with a pinch of probability

Who is it for?
Preschoolers and their families. You can teach it in two minutes. Older kids soon realise that tracking which animals are left gives them an edge.
Conclusion
A small, calm game built on one nice idea: a miss is not lost, it just moves the animal along. That keeps young players engaged. It is too simple for grown-up game nights, but as a family game for little ones it works well.
