In a grim future after the collapse of modern technology, society has transformed into a battle for survival. Central governments have been replaced by local powers, and while some areas resemble wastelands, others thrive by returning to a premodern lifestyle.

Amidst the chaos, people compete in arenas, and high-speed racing has evolved into demolition derbies, exemplified by the notorious Apocalypse Road, where ruthless organizers push drivers to upgrade their cars and eliminate opponents. Teams race across treacherous tracks, risking their lives for glory and sustenance, as they strive to be the first to accumulate 15 points through crossing the finish line and destroying rival vehicles.
