Arborea^*

Arborea is a worker-placement game with a time mechanism: as a Patron Spirit you send villagers on pilgrimages, heal the landscape and build your own ecosystem of habitats and animals. For 1 to 5 players aged 14 and up, 90 to 120 minutes.

How it plays

You place workers on action tracks that advance every round, carrying all figures along. The further a track has travelled, the better the reward when you collect your worker – waiting pays more but risks bottlenecks. The proceeds feed shared resource tracks, offerings to wise Sages and your personal display, where you overlay terrain cards and settle animals. Changing seasons give every game different paths.

Expert gamers who enjoy calm, planning-heavy Euro games with an unusual timing twist – and a soft spot for nature themes and dreamlike artwork. Solo mode included.
