From Dunwich to Innsmouth, trouble brews as dark forces begin to breach our reality. Players control groups of protagonists, aiming to make them as miserable and crazy as possible while ensuring their opponents' heroes remain healthy and alive. As characters face ghouls and learn grim lore for negative points, opponents need to seek analysis or ignore certain threats for positive points. The winner is the player whose characters have suffered the most when the inevitable doom arrives. New card types introduce story cards that can be played early for advantage, and transformation cards that permanently alter characters' fate and appearance in the game.
