Fantastic Factories*
Fantastic Factories is a dice-placement and engine-building game in which you race to build the most efficient set of factories. For 1 to 5 players aged 14 and up, 45 to 60 minutes – with little downtime, since everyone rolls and builds simultaneously.
How it plays
Each round has two phases. In the market you take a blueprint for free or pay to hire a contractor who provides resources or extra dice. In the work phase everyone rolls at once and places dice as workers into their built factories: mine metal, generate energy, fund blueprints or manufacture goods. Training facilities let you tweak dice values, and the order of placements unlocks long action chains. The first player to reach twelve goods or ten buildings triggers the end.
Who is it for?
Fans of Race for the Galaxy and dice-worker games who want a brisk, well-scaling strategy game with a solo mode. The expansions Manufactions and Subterfuge add contracts and secret agendas.
