Ghost Stories: White Moon^*

Monks face a new challenge in the "White Moon" expansion: saving the villagers from the ghosts. During setup, three villager tiles are placed on every village tile except one, which will hold the moon portal. Monks can guide the villagers, but to save them, they must bring them to the moon portal and perform a special rescue action there.

Villagers come in families of 1, 2, or 3 members, and rescuing an entire family grants rewards. However, some ghosts can kill villagers, leading to family curses that can range from minor annoyances to serious consequences, such as the emergence of an additional Wu-Feng incarnation. Villagers can also die if their game piece gets haunted, and haunting forces them to flee, resulting in deaths for those unable to escape.
