Each unit has a movement rating that indicates how many spaces it can move in a turn, factoring in elevation changes. Simple combat mechanics involve players rolling attack and defense dice, with skulls representing damage.
The game uses a point system for players to draft armies until they reach a predetermined value. This set includes new terrain types, 7 unique heroes, and 3 common Marro squads, along with the introduction of the Marro Hive, which grants special powers related to the common units.
