Munchkin: Vox Machina – A Critical Role Game*

Munchkin: Vox Machina sends the cheeky Munchkin card game into the world of Critical Role, based on the show's first campaign.

It plays 3 to 6 people aged 10 and up in 60 to 120 minutes.

What's it about?

As in every Munchkin, you kick down doors, beat up monsters, grab loot and climb level by level. First to Level 10 wins. This time the foes, characters and treasures all come from Vox Machina's campaign. You face villains like Delilah Briarwood and Thordak and wield legendary items such as Fenthras or the Titanstone Knuckles.

A turn at a glance

  1. Kick open a door and reveal the card.
  2. Fight a monster or dodge trouble.
  3. Collect treasure and power up your character.
  4. Discard or give away extra cards.

What fans can expect

  • Famous villains and NPCs from the first campaign's adventures
  • Legendary gear that viewers of the show will spot at once
  • Classic Munchkin humor with backstabbing, short-lived alliances and betrayal

Who is it for?

It is made mainly for Critical Role fans who like to laugh and mess with each other. If you know the Munchkin card game, you can jump right in. With a full table, games can drag on.

Conclusion

For fans of the show, a loving themed spin-off full of callbacks. As a game it remains classic Munchkin, with all its highs and slow stretches. If you care for neither the series nor take-that games, there is little new here.
