Players act as members of the Arioi, a secret Polynesian religious society. Throughout the game, they build colossal To'o statues to gain the favor of their god Oro. By alternating actions and planning rituals carefully, players call upon the gods for assistance, as their help is crucial to ensure the success of the statue construction. The player with the most victory points at the end will lead the group as the new high priest.
